Obituary of Jason D. Wolcott

Jason D. Wolcott of Rockaway, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016. He was 37 years old. Jason was born on December 8, 1978 in Morristown, NJ to John and Sharon (Young) Wolcott. He was a warehouse manager for the former Branch Brook Pool Company and the State Fair Pool Company. Jason was a lifelong resident of Rockaway, NJ. He graduated and played football for Morris Hills High School and Johns Hopkins University. Jason was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi. He will be lovingly remembered as being funny, compassionate, athletic and intelligent. Jason enjoyed spending time at the beach in Wildwood, watching Game of Thrones & Star Wars, listening to music and watching his New York Giants win. In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his brother, Shawn & his fiancé' Samantha Hartzman, his maternal grandparents, Alfred III & Milane Young, his longtime girlfriend, Melissa Bergamini, his great aunt Diane Palumbo and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, John Jr. in 1991 and his paternal grandparents, Leo & Vivian Wolcott. Jason's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, June 15th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, June 16th at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Jason will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ.
