Obituary of Ralph P. Amato

Ralph P. Amato of Stanhope, NJ passed away on Friday, October 14th at Hackettstown Medical Center in Hackettstown, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 93 years old. Ralph was born on February 6, 1923 in Rockaway, NJ to the late Josephine (Ferraiuto) and the late Nicholas Amato. He was a longtime resident of Stanhope, NJ where he resided for the past 67 years. Ralph was employed by Warner Lambert in Morris Plains as a Manager of Material Handling for many years before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling and watching sports but most importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished family. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Ann (Rencis), his daughter, Ann Marie Szabo, his son, Ralph & his wife, Marlene, his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Danielle and his great granddaughter, Kiera. Additional survivors included his sisters, Susan Heskett and Delores Karcher. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Mary Rose. Ralph's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Tuesday, October 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, October 19th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 8 Windemere Avenue, Mt. Arlington, NJ 07856. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. For memorial donations, please consider St. Michael's Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ 07857.
