Obituary of Marie N. Leather

Marie N. Leather of White Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years old. Marie was born on January 14, 1924 in Port Chester, NY to the late Teddy and the late Jennifer (Rossi) DiSanto.

She was a riveter at Western Electric and a production worker at AJ Zerega & Sons for many years before retiring. Marie was affectionately known to her close friends and family as "Tootsie". She resided in Fair Lawn, NJ for many years before moving to White Twp., NJ 8 years ago. She enjoyed dinning with her lady friends, she was an avid reader and was known for always wanting to help people. Most importantly, Marie loved spending time with cherished granddaughter, Amanda Marie.

Marie is survived by her devoted son, Bill & his wife, Joyce, her cherished granddaughter, Amanda Marie, her sister, Pamela Ricucci, her brother, Thomas DiSanto, several cousins, nieces and nephews and many dear friends at Brookfield. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Herbert in 2007 and her brother, Nicholas DiSanto.

Marie's Life Celebration will include visitation on Wednesday, December 21st from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a prayer service immediately following at 12:00 pm also at the funeral home. Marie will be laid to rest with her husband, Herbert at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ.
