Obituary of William C. Henderson

William "Bill" Henderson of the Panther Valley Section of Allamuchy Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old. Mr. Henderson was born on May 16, 1945 in Morristown, NJ to the late Herbert and the late Thelma (Hiltz) Henderson. He was the parts manager for Hoover Truck Centers in Flanders for more than 30 years. Bill resided in Panther Valley for the past 7 years and previous to that, he lived in Hopatcong, NJ. He enjoyed traveling the world and visited many places including Alaska, Paris, Germany and Hawaii. Most importantly, Bill loved spending time with his family and many friends. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Barbara (Voelker), his daughter, Heather McCullough, her husband, Paul III as well as his son, Billy and his wife, Melissa. His cherished grandchildren, Paul IV, Sarah, William and Emily knew him as their "Poppy". Additional survivors include his brother-in-law, Robert Hoover and his nieces and nephews, Bobby, Maria, Wendy, Bill, Cheryl, Jim, Douglas and Beth. He was predeceased by his sister, Fern Hoover. Bill's Life Celebration will include visitation on Wednesday, May 3rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, May 4th at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Bill will be laid to rest at the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt.
