Obituary of Earl Francis Weaver

Earl Francis Weaver, 90, of Netcong, passed away on Monday May 15, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born in Netcong, on March 23, 1927 to the late Clarence and Bertha (Berry) Weaver, Earl has resided there his entire life. He served proudly in the United States Navy during WWII from 1945-1946. Earl was employed in newspaper production for 45 years and was Production Director for the NJ Herald in Newton.

Earl's hobbies included bowling, cooking, hunting and fishing and he was a member of the Netcong-Stanhope Senior Citizens. Earl was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Earl was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Palanchi), a son David Michael Weaver, a grandson Andrew Earl Weaver and sisters Lois Esposito, Ada Bird, Elsie Griffin and Shelia Dellosso.

Survivors include his son Earl Francis Jr. and wife Cathy, grandsons Ryan and wife Toni and Eric Weaver and wife Jessica, a great granddaughter Cecilia Weaver, and a sister Joan Togno.

Earl's Life Celebration will include viewing on Wednesday, May 17 from 4-8PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral service will begin Thursday, May 18 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Friends and family may begin gathering at 10:00 AM at the prior to services. Earl will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org.
