Obituary of Rolf F.K. Odrian

Rolf F. K. Odrian, 85, of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 13, 1932 in Bremerhaven, Germany to the late Wilma (Steinbach) and the late Karl Selk. Rolf was an architectural engineer at CBS Broadcasting for 25 years before retiring. He was a longtime member of the Carlstadt Turnverein Chorus and he enjoyed playing the harmonica and the accordion. Rolf resided in Totowa, NJ for over 30 years before moving to Mt. Arlington 9 years ago. Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years, Edith (Janssen), his devoted daughters, Angela Dec and Rhonda Martucci & her husband, Paul, his cherished grandchildren who knew him as their "Opa," Nicole, Kevin, Michael and Anthony, his sister, Monika Davidsmeyer & her husband, Otto, his niece, Sylvia Cordes and his nephew, Axel Selk. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Heino Selk. Rolf's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, June 14th, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a prayer service offered at 6:30 pm also at the funeral home. For memorial donations, please consider Carlstadt Turnverein Chorus, 500 Broad Street, Carlstadt, NJ 07072. In appreciation for all of your support during this difficult time, the family is also planning a Life Celebration luncheon at Rolf's beloved Carlstadt Turnverein Club in the near future.
