Patricia Chandler

Obituary of Patricia Marie Chandler

Patricia was born in Paterson, N.J. She lived in Boaz, Alabama, Hopatcong, N.J., and for the past 25 years, Mount Arlington, N.J. On Nov 4, she died peacefully in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital Dover after a brave but short battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of the late Milton Chandler and Mary (nee Leddy) Chandler. She was the cherished sister of her predeceased brother, John Chandler and surviving sisters, Cora- Anne Chandler, Cornelia Chandler and Georgette Chandler. Patricia retired in 2011, prior to that she worked at various companies including Crum & Forster in Madison, N.J., GAB Robins, Parsippany, N.J., and Calvin Klein in Mt. Olive, N.J. in various positions. Paddie, as she was known to her family and close friends, was a thoughtful and giving person, always thinking of others. She was fiercely loyal to family and friends. She always put others before herself, loved picking out a gift and creatively adding something to it, personalizing it to make it the perfect present. She loved her dogs and cats and all the homeless, less fortunate animals in need. She was a life-long N.Y. Ranger fan (although it was/is sometimes very agonizing), enjoyed playing the lottery, visiting casinos. She was a movie buff and music aficionado, an avid coupon clipper, a vegetarian and natural born cook, no recipes needed. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, the family requests that you remember Paddie by doing an act of kindness for someone else. It was what Paddie did her entire life.
