Grau-Squires Families - Dot was already a Grau when the Danielson family arrived on Cooper Road in Union Hill. The Wrights, Squires, Graus and Trierers. were "go to" people when we walked to the "Triangle" at Franklin Road and Franklin Avenue to get the school bus, first to Main Street then Morris Hills. Actually, they were frequently "Go to go!" homes.
I remember Dot mostly as my fellow "4-H Livewires" member Howie's sister. Bob was also somewhat older. He came in handy when rides were needed for 4-H newspaper and scrap metal drives for the Korean War effort.
It was a pleasure to have rekindled some memories with Howie at a Knuth-Ayers Farm meeting in the Union Hill Presbyterian Church. We talked briefly about his family including Dot.
May Dot rest in peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
