My condolences to Janetann and the rest of the family. Lara was my High School sweetheart. I have so many fond memories of our time together and even though we lost touch over the years, I will miss her greatly. RIP sweet Lara, the world is a lesser place without you.

Dear Lara,
This is going to be short because nothing can describe the kind of friendship we had and the good and the bad times that came with it. We went through so many milestones together... junior high, high school, and college where you were the roommate that always made the ice-tea and woke up for student teaching while the rest of us slept in and adulthood (though adulting was never our thing). As an only child, I got to choose my sister and I chose you. You were my best friend, someone I told all my secrets to and the Godmother to Lauren, who misses you dearly and is also in disbelief. I'm in a fog right now as I write this. I still can't believe this is real. I love you Lara and you are in my thoughts every day. Life will not be the same without you. Rose and Sophia won't be golden without their Blanche.

Lara was a fun-loving, thoughtful, loyal, and generous friend. She was an amazing teacher. For her teaching was not just a job, it was a true vocation. Lara left us too soon. I miss her deeply.
