No words can capture the loss of such a beautiful soul. The pictire is from NCYC 2009. A person whom outpoured the gifts of the holy spirit. A person wise beyond his years and filled with the peace of the holy spirit. From youth group, ccd, NCYC, pasta dinners, food fasts, retreats and car rides Nick always has a smile and helped others feel welcome. I gravitated to him as a fellow nerdy catholic and he became a role model for me. I'll forever remember the meaning of solidarity because of Nick. He truly embodied the meaning and taught servant leadership by example. We bonded over both attending seton hall & SFA despite being years apart. I will forever be grateful to God for putting Nick in my life as such an amazing example of faith. I'll keep learning from Nick's example. Even at a distance Nick & Jen modeled what a true marriage is. I can only hope to have a marriage as strong as yours. What a life that was built and lived. Prayers for all friends /family especially Jen, April & Nico the loves of his life. May they forever feel Nick's everlasting love for them.

I can remember meeting this huge junior at a Salesian Leadership Retreat in Stony Point and he seemed to be filled with the spirit of Don Bosco, just to be surprised that he has recently transferred in. But later after meeting his mom I found out where he got that spirit from it was in his genes since birth. Later on he came around again as he was picked to be in Team and I saw this intelligent , gentle giant who knew a lot about a lot but was genuinely seeking a better relationship with God. Before I knew it he came on one of our first Gospels Roads In Self Place which became his and my new second home! That was just the beginning. From the on he became a Tech Go to on many more LR’s and then joined in Belle Glade for our first Gospel Roads Two. I was amazed how he didn’t grow any more in stature but did in character. I had many laughs and took several Emmaus walks with him. Once he was at Seton Hall, he would just stop by weekly and truly he always had a smile and an encouraging word. Then it the dream to have a GRIII an international experience and it was his connections with the DR and his ability to speak and understand Spanish that made the trip possible and a success! In the DR I truly knew he had a vocation to what exactly but surely to serve God. Over the next few years after I left the Salesia Office I would cherish the times we would gather for a random sakesian event. But then he got to come to World Youth Day an experience that I think changed both our lives. To see his excitement to see the pope and he was one a few willing to come with me to try to see Pooe Benedict outside his villa in Cologne, we sang until they basically told us to leave. He was strong but also shaken by the clashes in Spain and none of us will forget those nights in the downstairs at the end of every night! And to think after all that, it was still just the beginning. Then he met Jen there and I can only imagine the wonderful days of dating and exploring together. Then he figured out his vocation, not an SDB but close to it a Cooperator. Nick you gave you whole life and I am sure today you were greeted with these words, welcome good and faithful servant, well done, for you are my beloved son in which I am well Pleased.

Nick was always a faithful and true servant of the Lord, ever since he was in grammar school. I will always hold dear our memories together as classmates at SFA. May his family members and friends, always cherish the lovely memories created with Nick. May the Lord God grant his soul eternal rest. Farewell, my brother in Christ.

Nick was absolutely the definition of a stand up guy, the greatest. A gentleman who always conducted himself with class, while always being kind and funny. I treasure the night we went to a Hawaiian restaurant for karaoke - we had a night of laughs and it was such a pleasure to see Nick and his wife perform. Truly a loss that will be deeply felt by all those who were lucky enough to know Nick.
