Obituary of Anthony J. Pacifico, Jr.

Anthony J. Pacifico, Jr., 65, of Mt. Arlington, passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday July 25, at Care One in Hanover Township, with his devoted wife and loving family at his side.

Born in Montclair on June 1, 1953 to the late Anthony J., Sr. and Frances (DeMilia) Pacifico, "Tony" resided in Bloomfield prior to moving to Mt. Arlington 32 years ago. He was a 1975 graduate of the du Cret Art School in North Plainfield, NJ. Tony worked for Pathmark Supermarkets for many years. Tony was very artistic. He was a musician, (basically a drummer) but he also played guitar. He was a talented artist and photographer. He took many photos of Lake Hopatcong sunsets. He was a talented writer and poet. He had some of his poems published in magazines. Tony loved nature and animals, especially cats. He loved birds. He was an avid reader and loved Stephen King books and horror films, as well as, science fiction books and films. Tony also loved comedy including Laurel and Hardy, Marx Brothers, Three Stooges and The Honeymooners.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Coleman), a sister, Francine Formisano and her husband, Anthony and a niece, Francesca Formisano. Also surviving are his two cats, Finnegan and Oona.

Tony's Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday July 30th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered on Monday evening at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research at www.lustgarten.org.
