Obituary of Jack Barber

John "Jack" Barber of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 67 years old. Jack was born on August 21, 1957 in Miami, Florida to the late John D. and the late Julia (Grabowski) Barber.

Jack was a long-time resident of Mount Arlington; NJ and he was employed by Canon Business Solutions for many years before retiring. He enjoyed skiing, horseshoes, darts and boating but most importantly, Jack cherished his time with his loving wife, his nephews and his many friends. His true passion in life was fishing and boating on Lake Hopatcong. Jack was a very active Life Member of the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge #782 in Mt. Arlington, NJ.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Lucy Barber (nee LaPuzz), his devoted sister, Patricia Gaines and his cherished nephews, Michael Gaines and his wife, Nancy Jansen and Casey Gaines. Addition survivors include; his brother-in-law, James LaPuzz, his great nephews, Jacob Gaines and Joshua Gaines, several cousins and many dear friends

Jack's Life Celebration Services will include a Visitation on Monday, February 10th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass offered on Tuesday, February 11th at 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
