

Obituary of Richard Ike Jr.
Richard Ike, Jr. of the Port Morris section of Roxbury Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 95 years old. Richard was born on March 27, 1929 in Ledgewood, NJ to the late Richard Charles and the late Dorothy (Black) Ike.
Richard was a long-time resident of Port Morris, NJ and a member of the Roxbury Fire Company #2. He was a draftsman at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton for many years before retiring. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening but most importantly, he cherished his time with his loving family.
Richard is survived by his son Richard K. Ike, his daughters; Debralee Ike and Lori Jean Breeden, his daughter-in-law; Carol Ike, his sons-in-law; Thomas Marcinkowski and William Breeden and his cherished granddaughters, Lauren Marcinkowski, Ashleigh Kennedy and her husband, Sean Kennedy, Carlee Marcinkowski, Sarah Marcinkowski and Emma Ike. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Thelma Jean Ike in 2024 and his daughter, Jody Ann Marcinkowski in 2022.
Richard's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Service to be announced by the family at a later date. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. For memorial donations, please consider the charity of your choice.
