Obituary of Daniel J. Grauer

Daniel J. Grauer, 52, of the Forest Lakes section of Byram Township passed away suddenly on Tuesday February 11, 2025.

Born in Teaneck, NJ on November 20, 1972 to Micki (Mitchell) and the late Paul Grauer, "Dan" was employed as Director of Operations for Squan Construction in Carlstadt, NJ.

Dan attended West Virginia University. He enjoyed fishing, formula one racing and music. Dan had a passion for photography. His specialty was his exceptional photo essays of local high school sports, especially Lenape Valley Regional High School. Dan was often seen around the fields, courts and gymnasiums of numerous area schools capturing the action.

Above all else, Dan's greatest joy was spending time with his loving family and many close friends.

Survivors include his wife; Lisa (Horner), three children; Alexandra, Taylor and Christian, mother; Micki Grauer, father-in-law Richard Horner and his wife; Mary Ellen, sister; Jennifer Sunda and her husband; Bob, sister-in-law; Amy Kurnath and her husband; Jason and brother-in-law; Matthew Horner and his wife; Christina. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Dan is lovingly remembered by many extended family and close friends.

Dan was predeceased by his father; Paul Grauer and his mother-in-law; Jacklyn Chamberlin.

Dan's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Monday February 17, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. A family sharing of memories will begin at 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
