Obituary of Ilija Pavlovich

Ilija Pavlovich of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old. Ilija was born on August 1, 1946 in Germany to the late Ratko and the late Sofia (Janovsek) Pavlovich.

Ilija was a longtime resident of Hopatcong.  He was employed by New Jersey Transit for many years before retiring and was a member of the Hopatcong Seniors, Inc. Mr. Pavlovich was a devout catholic and he regularly attended mass at St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong. He was known as a "computer guru" and also learned to speak many different languages. Ilija enjoyed traveling but most importantly, he loved spending time with his devoted family.

Ilija is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Laura Pavlovich, his daughter, Maria Lourdes and his granddaughter, Sarah Moran. Additional survivors include his step-daughter, Michelle Wagner, his step-granddaughter, Katia Wagner, his step-grandson, Christof Wagner and his sons-in-law, Cristian Moran and Ralf Wagner.

Ilija's Life Celebration Services will include a Funeral Mass on Friday, February 21st at 10:00 am St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Friday morning. Ilija will be laid to rest at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn, NJ. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. For memorial donations please consider St. Jude RC Church in Ilija's memory.
