Obituary of Carol M. Webster

Carol M. Webster, 76, of Hopatcong passed away peacefully on Friday February 28, 2025 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born on March 7, 1948 in Livingston, NJ to the late Robert and Shirley Dowd, Carol has resided in Hopatcong since 1973. Carol worked as the Assistant Superintendent for the Sussex County Board of Elections in Newton, NJ prior to her retirement.

Carol loved animals, 50's music, gardening, trips to Atlantic City to play the slot machines and going to concerts with her husband. Carol was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, Sparta, NJ. Above all else, Carol loved spending time with her devoted family.

Carol was predeceased by her son; Dennis.

Survivors include her husband; Dennis, daughter; Sandy and grandchildren; Jenna, Tyler, Dalton and Aubrey. Also surviving are several brothers & sisters and many nieces & nephews.

Carol's Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 8 beginning at 9:00 AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 427 Stanhope Road, Sparta, NJ. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at church prior to Mass. Carol will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, NJ following Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Carol's memory to the "Pet Adoption League of Hackettstown, NJ", "O.S.C.A.R." and/or "Animals in Distress".
