Obituary of Lucille P. Togno
Lucille P. Togno, 89, of Netcong, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Dover, NJ on November 24, 1935, to the late Alfred and Carmella (Costanza) Esposito, Lucille was a lifelong resident of Netcong. She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Montclair State University. After graduating from Montclair, Lucille worked for the Morris Plains School District as a Speech Pathologist before her retirement.
Lucille was a dedicated parishioner of St. Michael RC Church in Netcong, giving her time to volunteer in the office, decorate, help with social events, and spent weekly time in Perpetual Adoration.
She loved spending time with family and friends and was a devoted Grandma, always finding fun things to do with her grandchildren and passing along her love of baking.
Lucille enjoyed making holiday preparations for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter by decorating, cooking, and baking, especially her coveted Christmas cookies.
At home, she could often be found in her yard tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, sewing and crocheting, working on various house projects, or relaxing with a good book.
Lucille’s kind and generous spirit touched many of us and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Lucille is predeceased by her beloved husband Chester “Chet” in 2021. She is survived by her children Lisa Burrowes and husband Buzz, William Togno, and Susan Byrne and husband Patrick, and her grandchildren Paul Burrowes V, Michael Burrowes, Kayleigh Byrne, and Meghan Byrne. She is also survived by her beloved younger brother Alfred “Unc” Esposito.
