Obituary of Arthur J. White Jr.

Arthur J. White, Jr. of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 93 years old. Arthur was born on May 24, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Arthur J. White, Sr. and Claire (Bennett) White.

Arthur was a Mechanical Engineer for Picatinny Arsenal before his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter #5114, Mt. Arlington, Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington and the Kiwanis in Hopatcong. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, but was most importantly, Arthur cherished spending time with his loving and devoted family on Lake Hopatcong and also with his beloved pets.

Arthur is predeceased by his beloved wife Veronica in 2022. He is survived by his son, Arthur J. White III of Port Charlotte, Florida, his daughters, Mary Elizabeth White of Landing, NJ and Melissa Ann Bushell of Colchester, Vermont, his cherished grandchildren; Jennifer, Andrew, Jacqueline, Jessica, Timothy, Corey, Alexander and Marina and 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Arthur's Life Celebration will include visitation on Wednesday, April 16th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Catholic Prayer Service offered on Thursday, April 17th at 10:00am at the funeral home. Arthur will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover, NJ immediately following the prayer service. All are welcome to meet directly at the cemetery after the prayer service for Funeral Honors and Committal Services.
