Obituary of Marlene Sanchez

Marlene Sanchez of Yonkers, New York passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Marlene was born on December 29, 1934 in New York City to the late Saragoza and the late Marie Huertas-Hernandez

Marlene was an administrator at The Division of Periodontics at Columbia University (Dental Unit) for 40 years before retiring. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Marlene was a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY and a devout Catholic. She enjoyed streaming her favorite movies/series but most importantly Marlene cherished her time with her family and dear friends.

Marlene is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard, her devoted son, Ric Sanchez, her cherished grandchildren, Ricki Morgan Sanchez and Tyler Christian Sanchez and her great-grandson, Tilian Christian Sanchez.

Marlene's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on Friday, May 16th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Catholic Prayer Service offered at 5:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
