Obituary of Barbara Cotreau

Barbara A. Cotreau of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 57 years old. Barbara was born on October 1, 1967 in Brooklyn, NY to Edwina "Marge" (Hynes) and the late Walter S. Meade.

Barbara was a long-time resident of Hopatcong, NJ. She was employed as an office manager at Town & Country Pool Company in New Vernon, NJ for many years. Barbara was a graduate of Morris Knolls High School and County College of Morris. In addition, Barbara loved spending time with her cherished family and laughing with her dear friends.

Barbara is survived by her loving mother, Edwina "Marge" Meade, her caring sister, Aileen Cobb, her brother-in-law, Dave Cobb and her cherished nephews; Nick Cobb, Dylan Cobb and Tyler Cobb and her "Super Puppy", Eli Manning. Barbara was pre-deceased by her beloved son, Daniel W. Cotreau in 2021 and her beloved husband, Daniel J. Cotreau in 2022, her brother, Walter James Meade in 1982 and her father, Walter S. Meade in 2009

Barbara's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, May 8th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Catholic Prayer Service offered at 6:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
