Obituary of Jean May Smith

Jean May Smith of Wayne, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.   She was 81 years old.  Jean was born on May 5, 1944 in Newark, NJ to the late Thomas and the late Jean (Paddon) Bishop.

Jean was also a long-time resident of West Paterson and Wayne, NJ.  She was employed as a financial advisor at BAE Systems in Wayne, NJ for many years before retiring. Jean enjoyed music and dancing, Dolphins and trips to Marco Island, Florida.

Jean is survived by her devoted son, Ryan Smith, his wife, Roxana Aliaga, and Granddaughter Mia Smith Aliaga.

Additional survivors include several extended relatives and many dear friends.

Jean’s Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering announced by the family in the future
