Obituary of Suzanne M. Alese

Suzanne M. Alese (Maglio) of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 44 years old. Suzanne was born on September 9, 1980 in New Brunswick, NJ to Patricia Anne Maglio (Zalesky) and the late Albert C. Maglio.

Suzanne was a long-time resident of Hopatcong. Suzanne earned her master's degree and was employed as a Teacher of the Deaf for the Lake Drive Program at Mountain Lakes High School. She enjoyed her loving family, traveling with her family, being Charlotte's biggest supporter for everything, especially her gymnastics career, spending time in her camper, relaxing on Lake Hopatcong on her boat, Suzanne was an avid reader and most of all a best friend to everyone.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband Steven of 16 years and daughter Charlotte Suzanne Alese. Mother Patricia Anne Maglio, Brother Peter James Maglio. She is also survived by her Father-in-law and mother-in-law Gary Dominick Alese and Lenore Annette Alese, Sister-in-law Michelle Lenore Ash and William Albert Ash. Nieces Nicole Michele Ash and Amanda Kathleen Ash, Michelle Ann Maglio and her nephew Oliver Chase Maglio.

Suzanne is predeceased by her father Albert Cornelius Maglio, her brother Albert Paul Maglio, her brother-in-law Michael Gary Alese and nephew Kyle Alese.

Suzanne's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Monday, August 11 from 4pm to 8pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, August 11 at the funeral home during the visiting hours with no specific time. The funeral home will open on Tuesday, August 12 at 9:30am for those who wish to pay final respects to Suzanne. The funeral director will have concluding words before departing to Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Township, NJ where Suzanne will be laid to rest.
