Obituary of Joyce Balber

Joyce Balber of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 77 years old. Joyce was born on September 10, 1947 in New York City to the late Harry and the late Eleanor Okun.

Joyce was a long-time resident of Hopatcong, NJ. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed ceramics but most importantly, Joyce's "Life's Mission" was to ensure that her children and grandchildren continue on to lead both happy and successful lives.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Cary Balber, her devoted children; Aaron Balber and his wife, Jackie Anouge Balber and Enan Balber Flynn and her husband, Brian and her cherished grandchildren; Andrew Flynn, Katie Flynn and Shawn Anouge. Additional survivors include; her brothers-in-law, Russ Balber and Martin Balber, her sister-in-law; Linda Balber, her nieces and nephews, Adam Balber, Nora Balber and Evan Balber and her grand-nieces and grand nephews; Lyla Balber and Liam Balber. Joyce was pre-deceased by her sister-in-law, Shelly Lopiccolo.

Joyce's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on Friday, August 29th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at with a Prayer Service offered at 12:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road in Landing, NJ.
