Obituary of Robert B. Urgo

Robert B. Urgo of Succasunna, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 66 years old. Robert was born on December 4, 1958 in Teaneck, NJ to the late Gerard Urgo and the late Antoinette Porcelli Urgo Thurling.

Robert grew up in Bergenfield and Mahwah, NJ and was also a long-time resident of the Succasunna section of Roxbury Twp., NJ. He had a successful lifelong career in the field of electronics distribution and manufacturing and was very dedicated to his employer as well as to his co-workers. Robert was the vice-president of operations for American Distributors in Randolph, NJ for many years before retiring. In addition, Robert also was an operations manager for Sylvan Ginsbury in Oradell, NJ. He was an avid New York Giants fan but most importantly, Robert was a dedicated father who cherished his time with his loving family and many dear friends.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Sandra Urgo (nee Browning), his devoted son, Matthew Urgo, his mother-in-law, Eileen Browning, his siblings; Maria Urgo Florian, Rosanne Urgo Erbeck and her husband, Bob and Donald Urgo and his wife, Susan and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his beloved daughter, Marina Leigh Urgo in 2022.

Robert's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 13th at 3:00 pm at Succasunna United Methodist Church, 91 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876.
