A Quiet Memory of Patricia Dillon
In the gentle rhythm of childhood, certain moments leave an indelible mark. For me, one such memory lives on the doorstep of Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob’s home. Each afternoon, I would run down the street, too young to join my brother and cousins on the school bus, but eager to await their return. And every day, Aunt Pat sat with me.
She offered no grand gestures, only her presence. Steady. Kind. Reassuring. Whether through a soft hum, a gentle question, or shared silence, she made space for me, not just physically, but emotionally. In her quiet companionship, I learned the meaning of unconditional care.
