Obituary of Frances Jacobsen

Frances Jacobsen of Rockaway Twp., NJ and formerly of Port Morris passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old.

Frances was born on September 3, 1931 in Port Morris, NJ to the late Joseph Vaia and Theresa Vaia (D'Auria) . She resided in Port Morris for most of her life before moving to Rockaway/Fox Hills in 2000. She loved cooking, gardening, loving and nurturing her friends and family. She had an unwavering devotion to her faith. Above all her whole world was her family.

Frances is survived by her children Margaret Morrissey, Theresa Antonelli, John Jacobsen, Joseph Jacobsen and Francesca Basile. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, treasured family and cherished friends.

Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband Martin in 2008.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 30 at 10:00am at St. Michael Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ.
