Obituary of Gertrude L. Sullivan

Gertrude "Trudy" Sullivan, 91, of Mount Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday September 28, at her home.

Born on November 7, 1933 in the Bronx, NY to the late Daniel and the late Deborah Sullivan. She started her career as a flight attendant, earning her wings with Colonial Airlines. She moved on and held the title of Director of Personnel for Grolier in Danbury CT and Director of Human Resources and Benefits with Con Edison in New York City.

Trudy was the most generous sister and aunt, a devout Catholic, staunch Republican and the "Life of the Party". Her greatest joy was sharing her unique qualities with her devoted family and friends.

Trudy was predeceased by her four sisters; Mary, Debby, Lillian, and Kathleen, as well as her niece Laura Jean.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews; Guy Moore, Ellen Kairys, Deborah O'Brien, Jim McArdle, Brian McArdle, Kathleen Medore, Kevin McArdle, Neil McArdle, Dan McArdle, Margaret Tramutola, and Barry McArdle.

Trudy's Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Monday October 6 from 4pm -7pm at Leber Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday October 7 at 10:00am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, 204 Espanong Rd Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave, Newton, NJ 07860.
