Obituary of Bridget "Bea" Boomer

Bridget "Bea" Boomer of Netcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old. Bea was born on July 2, 1937 in Castlerea, County Roscommon, Ireland to the late Thomas and Bridget Mulrennan.

Mrs. Boomer was a longtime resident of Kearny, NJ before moving to Netcong, NJ 10 years ago. Bea dedicated her life to raising her four children and she possessed a deep appreciation for their faith and their Irish heritage. She was an active and longtime parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong, NJ. Bea enjoyed traveling but most importantly she cherished her time with her large and loving family.

Bea is survived by her devoted children; Thomas "Jerry" Boomer & his wife Lucille, Desmond Boomer & his significant other Michele Connors, Bridget Reilly & her husband John and Kathleen Brennan & her husband William. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren; Kelcey Russo & her husband Marc, Gabrianna Kurtz & her husband Aaron, Sean Reilly & his wife Sophia, Julianne Russell & her husband William, Aidan Reilly & his fiancé' Hannah Moyer, Christy Brennan & her significant other John Azzopardi and Owen Reilly and her great-granddaughter Lainey Russo and her sisters; Una Mulrennan and Kathleen Hevian & her husband Joe and her sister-in-law Margaret Mulrennan. Bea was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Desmond Boomer in 1993, her brothers; John, Patrick, James and Thomas Mulrennan and her sister Mary Power.

Bea's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Friday, October 3rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass offered on Saturday, October 4th at 9:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Family & friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Saturday morning. Bea will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery at 340 Ridge Road in North Arlington, NJ.
