Obituary of Edward W. Wimbush

Edward W. Wimbush of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 77 years old. Edward was born on January 27, 1948 in Newark, NJ to the late Walter "Les" and the late Mary O'Donnell Wimbush.

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Navy and then earned his bachelor's degree from Kean University. He was a long-time resident of Union, NJ and a fireman with the Union Township Fire Department where he retired after many years. Edward was a caring and compassionate person who always cared for others. He was very passionate about his faith. Edward was dedicated to Our Lady of Good Success in Denville and a parishioner of Holy Face Monastery.  Edward's greatest joy was spending quality time with his devoted friends and loving family.

In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister; Ellen Wimbush

Edward is survived by his siblings; Frank Wimbush and Walter Wimbush and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Edward's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Service to be announced by the family at a later date. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. For memorial donations, please consider the charity of your choice.
