
Obituary of Charles Lovelace
Charles Lovelace of the Landing section of Roxbury Twp., NJ and a Life Long resident of Jersey City passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Charles was born on June 3, 1945 in Pocahontas, VA to the late Charles Lovelace and the late Dorothy (Underwood) Lovelace.
Charles worked as a truck driver and mechanic for all of his life at DMS Trucking in Kearny, NJ before his retirement. He loved taking his children when they were little, to Newark airport to watch the airplanes land and takeoff. Charles loved playing cards and Left, Right, Center with his family and enjoyed nature and being outdoors. Charles became a catholic late in life and has received all of his sacraments. But most of all he loved spending cherished time with his 4 grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his children; Kelly Cintron and her husband Ray Cintron and Greg Lovelace and his fiance Ruth Helbig. Grandchildren Marshall Lovelace, Cheyanne Cintron, Victoria Lovelace and Mason Lovelace and his sisters Nina Blankenship and Joanne Jones. Charles was one of 15 children. Charles is predeceased by his beloved wife Karen Lovelace in 2015.
Charles Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, November 5th from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. A Catholic Service will be held at 7:30 at the funeral home. All other services for Charles will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
