Obituary of Patrick Dillon
Patrick "Kevin" Dillon, 70, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Dundalk, Ireland, on April 15, 1955, to the late Matthew and Brigid Dillon, Kevin was also lovingly raised by his stepfather, the late John O'Donnell.
Kevin worked for many years as a truck driver with Onyx in Flanders, NJ, spending countless hours on the road throughout the tri-state area.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra (Linnartz) Dillon; his daughter, Brigid Dillon; and his grandchildren, Hailee and Bryce. He is also survived by his cherished in-laws, Ron and Evelyn Linnartz, and his niece and nephew, Paul and Nicole Linnartz, with whom he shared a particularly close bond.
Kevin was funny, warm, and wonderfully goofy. He loved motorcycles, vintage cars, and the many dogs who were his loyal companions over the years. Though he looked like a tough guy in his leather vests and tattoos, he had the gentlest heart — the kind of man who would help anyone, anytime, simply because he could. His kindness, humor, and open-handed generosity touched everyone who knew him.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents and by his stepfather.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at a later date in the spring.
