Obituary of George Vesel

George Vesel, 71, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 7, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center.

Born on May 11, 1954 in Dover, NJ to the late Matthew and Edna Mae (Mutchler) Vesel, George has resided in Landing most of his life. He served proudly in the United States Army and was retired from his occupation as a Truck driver/equipment operator for Vesel Trucking of Landing, NJ. George was a member of American Legion Post #245 of Lake Hopatcong.

George loved working on his classic Chevrolet Chevelle, hunting and spending time with his cats. His greatest joy was being with family and friends.

Survivors include his daughters; Kelsey Denison-Vesel and Jaimi Lin Ruiz and brother: Andrew Vesel (wife; Mary).

George's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Saturday December 13, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in George's memory to your local VFW or American Legion Post.
