Obituary of Richard Allocca

Richard E. Allocca, 82, of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Newark, NJ on August 2, 1943 to the late Dominick and Concetta (Vela)Allocca, Richard resided in Chester, NJ prior to moving to Mt. Arlington. He earned his bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Richard was an Insurance Broker for many years before his retirement.

Richard was an antique car collector and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition, Richard was a member and former President of the 200 Club of Morris County. Richard was passionately patriotic and his greatest joy was spending time with family.

Survivors include his devoted wife; Maureen (Maggs) Allocca, children: Michelle Chatfield and her husband; Jeff, Megan Galdieri and her husband; Gregory and Daniel Allocca and his wife; Joanne grandchildren; Kayley & Nicole Balken, Steven Chatfield, David & Madeline Rento, Riley Galdieri and Lauren Allocca and siblings; Barbara Bongo, Philip Allocca and Dorothy Brennan.

Richard's Life Celebration will include a memorial Mass on Friday, December 12 beginning at 10:30 AM at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ 07843. All other services were private.
