Obituary of Demetrios Durdunas

Demetrios Durdunas, 65, of Butler, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at his sister's home with his loving family by his side. He was born in New York, NY on June 23, 1960.

Demetrios served proudly in the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed website designer and a cook for many years before retiring. These were both his passions and loved doing before he could no longer do anymore.

Demetrios is survived by his parents George Durdunas and Marie (Stavrinos) Durdunas. His siblings Stella Gizas and her husband Tim, Christina Bruno and her husband Nick and Vickie Romel-Nichols and her husband Dan. He is also survived by his nephews Thomas Gizas, Adam Nichols and his fiancé Tyler Krumm, Nicholas Bruno, his nieces Angela Gizas and her husband Matthew Recenello, Alyssa Bruno and her fiance Devin Gavrushenko and Ashley Nichols and her fiancé Kamil Grochowski. His special friend Lisa Figueiredo and his partner in crime, Harry, his cat. He is predeceased by his nephew Mark Steven Romel, Jr.

Demetrios' celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the home of Demetri’s sister, Stella Gizas, at 4 Partridge Court, Parsippany, New Jersey from 12p-4p
