Obituary of Luz Stella Posada

Luz Stella Posada of Flanders, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years old. Luz was born on January 29, 1949 in Pensilvania, Colombia to the late Rafael Ospina Mejia and the late Teresa Hoyos de Ospina .

Luz was a beloved homemaker and resided in Orlando, Florida for many years before moving back to New Jersey 3 years ago. She enjoyed listening to Colombian music, dancing cumbia and playing parcheesi but most importantly, she cherished her time with her grandchildren and loving family.

Luz is survived by her daughter, Katherine DeJesus (Robert), her son, David Posada (Michele) and her cherished grandchildren; Paige Arianna DeJesus, Robert David "DJ" DeJesus, Sofia Rose DeJesus, David Alexander Posada, Noah James Posada, Stella Rose Posada. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rodolfo Posada.

Luz's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering to be announced by the family at a later date.
