Obituary of June Schnetzer

June Schnetzer, beloved wife, mother, and Nana, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Reuben and Joan (Noble) Maring and was raised with strong family values that remained at the center of her life.

June graduated from Boonton High School in 1970. On February 19, 1972, during a memorable snowstorm, she married the love of her life, Russell Schnetzer. Together, they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and enduring love.

June is survived by her husband, Russell Schnetzer; her children, Jennifer Savarin (Phillip), Ted Schnetzer (Bekki), and Jahn Schnetzer (Marguerite); and her cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Mia, and Emma Savarin, and Andrew, Jacob, Jahn, RJ, and Amber Schnetzer, who lovingly knew her as Nana.

June worked for many years at Travelers Insurance before retiring. She took great pride in her work but found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also dearly loved her dog, Chevy, who was a constant companion.

A longtime member of the United Methodist Church, June's faith was an important part of her life and community. June will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10th at 3pm at the Stanhope United Methodist Church, 2 NJ183, Netcong, NJ 07857
