Obituary of Theresa Preziosi

Theresa Preziosi of Netcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Holly Manor Care Center in Mendham, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old. Theresa was born on September 30, 1936, in Dover, NJ to the late Anthony and Josephine (Milone) Preziosi. A lifelong resident of Netcong, Theresa was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael's RC Church in Netcong and Sacred Heart RC Church in Dover. She was a devout Philippian Nun and a beloved teacher at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Dover for many years before retiring. Through her vocation and career in education, Theresa touched the lives of countless students and families with her kindness, faith, and dedication to learning. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, prayer, and serving her church community. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the compassion she shared with everyone she met. Theresa is survived by her devoted sisters, Carol Yanavok, Maria Simmerano and Frances Preziosi as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish her memory. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her siblings, Vincent Preziosi, Anthony Preziosi Jr., Carmela Susco, and Amelia Prescatore. Theresa's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, March 11th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Thursday, March 12th at 10:00 am at St. Michael's RC Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. Theresa will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Columbarium in Mt. Olive Township, NJ immediately following the funeral Mass.
