Obituary of John V. Cetrulo

John V. Cetrulo, 61, of Stanhope, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Hackettstown Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 8, 1965, in Newark, New Jersey, John was the son of the Nick and Concetta "Connie" (Anzaldo) Cetrulo. A longtime resident of Stanhope, John dedicated many years of his career as an Advertising Sales Specialist with Val-Pak. He was a devout and active member of his faith, serving as an usher at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Netcong and as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. John had a passion for life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees, enjoyed tending to his fig trees, and loved cooking for those around him. Above all, John cherished the time he spent with his large and loving family, as well as his many dear friends, who will remember him for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion and his amazing sense of humor. In addition to his parents, John is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Catherine; his devoted children, Alexandra Cetrulo and Nicholas Cetrulo; and his loving siblings, Ralph Cetrulo and Christine Selitto. He is also survived by many cherished extended family members and close friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life at a Memorial Gathering on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, New Jersey. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 4 Church Street in Netcong, New Jersey. Attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's name to St. Michael's RC Church or the Knights of Columbus Charity of your choice.
