Evelyn Castagnaro

Obituary of Evelyn Castagnaro

Evelyn Anna Dennis Castagnaro, born on July 17, 1931, passed away leaving behind a legacy of family, warmth, and simple joys. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Castagnaro and a devoted mother to her children: Henry Louis Castagnaro (and his wife, Jan), Richard Lindner (and his wife, Carol), and Patricia Marz.

Evelyn was a proud and loving grandmother to Joseph Castagnaro, Felicia Castagnaro, Helene Castagnaro, Donielle Lindner, and Stephanie Lindner. She is also survived by her brother, Kenny Denis, and her nephew, Scott Luoni.

She was predeceased by her husband; Alfred and her parents.

Evelyn found happiness in life's quiet, meaningful moments. She spent many peaceful afternoons working on jigsaw puzzles at her dining room table, a pastime that reflected her patience and attention to detail. She was also a devoted New York Yankees fan, rarely missing a game and never hesitating to share her spirited opinions—especially when the team didn't meet her expectations.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was affiliated with Our Lady of Good Counsel in Inwood, New York.

Evelyn will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her sharp wit, and the comfort she found in the simple pleasures of everyday life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements are being held privately.
