Obituary of Barbara E. Kott

Barbara Eleanor Kott (née Wilson), 78, of Hopatcong, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026. Born on April 27, 1947, in Yonkers, New York, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Edward Wilson and Eleanor Wilson (née Walzer).

Barbara was a longtime resident of New Jersey and a proud graduate of Saddle Brook High School, Class of 1965. She dedicated many years of service as a secretary with the Water Department for the Borough of Hopatcong, NJ

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her loving husband, David Kott; her son, Greggory Kott, his wife Karin, and their daughter Jade; and her daughter, Larissa Potts, her husband Chris, and their daughter Julianne. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Wilson, James Wilson, and Alan Wilson, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who were all important to Barbara.

Barbara will be remembered for her deep love of family and the care she showed to those closest to her. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Barbara's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. All other services were conducted privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
