Obituary of Linda Lee Codd

Linda Lee Codd of Netcong, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. Born on December 19, 1943, in Franklin, NJ, Linda was the daughter of the late Frank Despott and Elizabeth Yanis (nee Toth).

Linda resided in Mount Dora, Florida for many years before moving to Netcong 14 years ago. She found great joy in gardening, tending to her beautiful flowers, and watching the birds visit her peaceful backyard. Above all else, Linda treasured the time she spent with her family and dear friends, whose love and companionship meant the world to her.

Linda is survived by her beloved companion of 14 years, James Arbolino; her sister, Ellyn Riley; her brother, Robert Yanis; her niece, Elizabeth Cribbs; and many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Codd, in 1998.

In honoring Linda’s wishes, Life Celebration Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
