Obituary of Joan Maines

Joan Maines, 82, of Hopatcong, NJ, formerly of Victory Gardens, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8th at Morris View Healthcare Center.

Born on April 10, 1944 in Dover, NJ to the late Ralph and Julia Hedden, Joan drove a school bus for the Borough of Victory Gardens, NJ where she also served as a Council Woman. She retired from her employment at Pfizer in Morris Plains and also worked in the food services department for Merry Heart Nursing home.

She was predeceased by her husband; Edward.

Survivors include her four sons; Edward, Mark and his wife; Debra, Andrew and his wife; Donna and Daniel, grandchildren; Edward, Erica, Bailey, Michael, Skylar, Taylor, JR and Courtney, five great grandchildren and siblings Rodger, Bonnie and Sharon.

Joan's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Monday, May 18 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
