Obituary of Jeanne A. Roninger

Jeanne A. Roninger of Morris Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 16, 2026, with her beloved companion, Curtis by her side. She was 77 years old.

Born on June 26, 1948, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Jeanne was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Moran.

Jeanne was raised in Chinchilla, Pennsylvania and throughout her life resided in Bloomfield, Verona,  East Orange, West Orange, and Netcong before settling in Morris Township. She dedicated many years to the restaurant industry, where her warm personality and welcoming spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Jeanne worked in many roles over the years, including waitress, bartender, and hostess, and was especially well known for her longtime service at Pals Cabin in West Orange, where she worked for many years prior to her retirement.

Beyond her career, Jeanne was known for her generous heart and willingness to help others. Whether driving friends and neighbors to doctor appointments, running errands, or delivering essential items, she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all else, Jeanne's greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her cherished family, whom she loved deeply and devoted herself to completely.

Jeanne is survived by her loving children, Rosemary Flannery, Catherine Sevek and her husband Matt, Joseph Flannery and Elizabeth Kimmell, her cherished grandchildren; Hagen Daniel Havlicek, Vincent Geris , Max Parlato, Allycia Sevek, Ryan Flannery-Garlick, William Rohner, and Shane Kimmell; her beloved longtime companion of 30 years, Chuck Curtis Smith; her sisters, Kathleen Haynes and her husband Chet, and Joanne Candelario; as well as many extended relatives and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Flannery; her beloved second husband, Woodrow Roninger; and her siblings, Ann Marie Moran, Mary Beacom, Patty Hudak, Geraldine Moran, and Vera Moran.

Jeanne's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service, at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home. Jeanne will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeanne's memory to the charity of one's choice.
