Obituary of Ciara Byrne

Ciara Byrne of Sparta Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, surrounded by her devoted and loving family. She was 42 years old.

Born on May 31, 1983, in Dublin, Ireland, Ciara was the beloved daughter of Aiden and Irene Welsh.

Ciara resided in Sparta Township for the past four years and previously lived in Queens, New York. She also cherished the time spent at her peaceful second home in the Pocono Mountains, a place that brought her great comfort and happiness.

Ciara had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for music, singing, dancing, and playing the leg guitar. Her joyful personality, infectious laughter, and warm heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Above all else, Ciara treasured the time she spent with her large and loving family and her many dear friends.

In addition to her loving parents, Ciara is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Byrne, and her adored and cherished children, Ellie and Riley. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Avril Ahearne, Austin Welsh, Aiden Welsh, and Sinead Welsh, her mother-in-law, Alice Byrne along with many extended family members and close friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Ciara's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service offered at 6:30 p.m. at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
