Obituary of Carl Bombardieri

Carl Bombardieri, 67, of Pocono Lake, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital, Monroe Campus, in Bartonsville, PA.

Born on August 13, 1958, in Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, NY, to the late Nicolo and Olga Bombardieri, Carl was a longtime resident of Hopatcong, NJ, before moving to Pocono Lake, PA, in 2021

Carl was the owner and operator of Bombardieri Lawn Care in Hopatcong for many years prior to his retirement. Due to his friendly nature and genuine care for others, many of his clients became dear friends.

Carl enjoyed fishing and riding his golf cart around the neighborhood, where he could often be found chatting with neighbors and friends. He was a passionate Boston Bruins and New York Mets fan. During his years in Hopatcong, he was a devoted parishioner of St. Jude Church. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and creating lasting memories, especially with his beloved granddaughter.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Dowd) his two sons, Carlo "CJ" and Nicholas "Nick"; his daughter-in-law, Samantha; and his cherished granddaughter, Antonina Maria. He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.

Carl's Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Friday, June 5 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered on Friday evening at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
