Obituary of Mary C. Halloran

Mary C. Halloran, 90, of Wharton, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026 at Merry Heart Assisted Living, Succasunna, NJ. Born on February 11, 1936, in Manhattan, New York, Mary was a graduate of CCM Nursing School and dedicated her career to caring for others as a registered nurse at Riverside Hospital in Boonton. Mary was a loving mother and cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her children, Marie Teresa Halloran Zeigler, Thomas Patrick Halloran and wife Elise, and Matthew Stephen Halloran. Cherished Grandson Zachary Thomas Zeigler. She overcame the death of her beloved husband, Thomas Halloran, in 1981, and her daughter, Barbara, in 2012. Mary enjoyed knitting, traveling and creating memories with the people she loved. Her caring nature and devotion to her family will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her. Mary's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, August 26 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing, NJ. A Prayer Service will be held at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice.
