Have been friends with Lou Bizzarri since we were young Air Force JAGs on active duty in same legal office at McConnell AFB in Wichita Kansas. Viet Nam war was underway, Lou and I tried Courts Martials together, got to be close friends which we have remained. Like Lou's Father my Father served in WWII, my Father who was a Pharmacist was called to active duty in the Korean Conflict, of course war is war whether it called a conflict or something else. My Father died 5 months before he could have retired at Massachusetts General Hospital in the middle of my 3rd year in law school, only 17 days after Dad came from Boston to Portland Maine for our 2nd Daughter Brenda's birth. Angelo Bizzarri and his Wife Rose were always so nice to me, they made me Lou's Friend feel part of the Bizzarri Family. I stayed with them at their Summer place in Sea Isle City, I last saw them when Lou invited me to his Retired as a highly respected Assistant United State Attorney, both Lou and are also retired from Air Force Reserves as Judge Advocate Lt Colonels, we saw each other at Air University JAG School, at conferences around the country, and have stayed in close contact, but beside working in Department of Justice Offices in California and New Jersey, Lou did inspections of U.S. Attorneys Offices all over the U.S. Angelo and Rose again made me feel so comfortable being present at Lou's Home and at Lou's Retirement Ceremony at Haddonfield Country Club, they have always been so proud of Lou. As Lou's friend all these decades, as an only child whose parents died when I was a Jr. in College and in my final year of Law School, I have never forgotten how welcome Angelo and Rose made me feel part of Family. I had been a College Baseball Catcher, Angelo and I would talk about Angelo as football player, albeit Angelo was so humble about that, and his stellar reputation as an multi-sport Official at High School competitions for decades. Having stayed active in sports during my life, Angelo shared how much he loved officiating and halping young athletes learn sportsmanship. Mrs. Rose Bizzarri, Lou, Sondra, Grandson Angelo and Granddaughter Tisa, I hope so many wonderful memories will make it just little bit easier to get through this difficult time. am certain of only 1 thing, Angelo Bizzarri would want all of us to celebrate being part of his Life, I do know that Lou was as proud of You as His Father, as You and Rose are of Lou as Your Son.
