Obituary of Anthony L. Esposito

Anthony L. Esposito, Jr. of Roxbury Township passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday May 5, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. He was 73. Born in Dover and raised in Netcong, he has lived in Dover and then Roxbury Township since 1992. Anthony was the owner of Tony and Rosemary's Tavern in Byram for 30 years. An Army National Guard veteran and a parishioner of St. Therese RC Church in Succasunna, he was a member of the North Jersey Clay Target Club, Silver Dollar Golf and Trap Club of FL., Amateur Trap Shooting Association (where he met many friends nationally, from east to west and enjoyed that comradery). He was also a member of the NRA, Model A Ford Club of NJ and the Knights of Columbus Counsel #3665 in Netcong. He enjoyed spending time with his family, sports (NY GIANTS), current events, Jeopardy, trap shooting, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time in his second home in FL. As a child, Anthony enjoyed Little League Baseball. Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee: Andoli). Devoted father of Sharon M. Vecchiet and her husband George and Mark Esposito and his wife Tracie. Loving grandfather of Marcus and twins Leah and Chloe Esposito and Ava Vecchiet. Dear brother of Lynn Marinello and brother-in-law of Linda Esposito. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anthony's Life Celebration on Monday May 9 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday May 10 at 10:00AM at St. Therese RC Church in Succasunna with interment to follow in the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
