Obituary of Andrea Emilia Sanchez

Andrea Emilia Sanchez, beloved Wife, Mother, "Titi" and "Lita" of Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. Mrs. Sanchez was born on January 28, 1935 in Manhattan, NY to the late Juan Antonio and the late Maria (Lopez) Gonzalez. She resided in Landing, NJ for the past 28 years and previously lived in Hopatcong, NJ. In her early years, Andrea worked as a telephone operator for New York City Bell. Andrea, along with her husband, owned and operated Tony Sanchez Ltd. in Ledgewood, NJ for more than 40 years. Andrea was the matriarch of a large and very loving family. She was a woman of great faith, a devout catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Jude's RC Church in Hopatcong and Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that she will continue to watch over them, to guide them and to inspire them. She was a great friend and mentor to all. Andrea enjoyed cooking, baking, playing the lottery and reading; but most importantly she cherished the heartfelt time spent with her family. Andrea is survived by her loyal husband of 55 years, Antonio, her devoted sons, Antonio Jr. & his wife, Lori and Andy & his wife, Sheri, her cherished grandchildren who knew her as their affectionate "Lita", Gabriella, Julianna, Andrew, Sophia and Olivia. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Maria, Antonia and Elena. Andrea's Life Celebration will include visitation on Thursday, July 6th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, July 7th at 12:00 pm at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive in Hopatcong, NJ. Family & friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Friday. Andrea will be laid to rest at Locust Hill Cemetery & Mausoleum in Dover, NJ. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
