Obituary of Giacomo "Jack" Bileci
Giacomo "Jack" Bileci, 82, formerly of the Port Morris section of Roxbury Township passed away on Monday September 4, 2017 at St. Clare's in Denville.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 5, 1935 to the late Sebastiano and Giovanna (Peroni), Jack resided in Brooklyn prior to moving to Port Morris in 1969. He lived there until 2006 when he moved to Flanders. He served proudly in the US Army from 1954-1956. Jack was a devoted member of the Roxbury Fire Co #2 in Landing. He attended St. Michael's Church in Netcong and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Flanders. Jack was an avid poker player and enjoyed many trips to Atlantic City.
Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mona Elizabeth in 1998.
Survivors include his five children Lisa Cardin (Jim), Russell Bileci, Jack Bileci (Kara), Donna Marie Carson (Bill) and Andrew Bileci (Alison), 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother Carlo Bileci (Claire), a sister Marie Comiso and many nieces and nephews.
Jack's Life Celebration will include a funeral Mass on Friday September 8 beginning at 9:00 AM at St. Therese Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876. All are invited to meet directly at church for Mass. Jack will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery upon the conclusion of Mass.
